Tips For Creating Your Bug Out Bag For The End Of The World

While the world may not actually be ending, or not anytime soon anyway, many people believe that there is a civil war on how WWIII is coming. That government is going to start oppressing people. There’s no way to know if these things will happen, and they could be just as likely as a zombie apocalypse, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be prepared, just in case.

Part of your preparation should be a bug out bag. This is a bag you will take with you if you need to leave your home for safety reasons, and it can be anything from a one-day bag to a bag that could last you a week. If you have a family, you want enough stuff to help keep all of you alive.

Weaponry

While you really need to follow your state’s rules when it comes to weapons, you do want to make sure you have something in your kit for protection. You’ll also need knives when it comes to food, building shelters, and more. Knives can also come in handy when it comes to hunting for food.

Food And Water

Food and water are a must. You can’t go very long without water, and you want to make sure you have enough for yourself and everyone else. Water can be heavy to carry, so it is also important for a system to clean natural water.

You can buy food made to use for survival purposes. It is usually dehydrated, and it comes with a longer shelf life than the normal food you buy at the store. This makes it great for survival prep and easier to lug around with you.

Medical Supplies

When it comes to the end of the world, you may want more than just a normal first aid kit, although you will need all the stuff in that as well. You want to have items that can be used for trauma and even for surgery. Dental floss doubles great as a thread for sewing up wounds (don’t get the flavored stuff).

You also want other survival supplies that can help in hairy situations, like paracord. This is a tough cord that can be used for climbing, tying wood together for a raft, and even securing your shelter.

Clothing

Lastly, pack some extra clothing to take with you. You want protection from the elements, including the sun and wind. You also want to make sure that you can stay warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot.
