You’re planning to visit Thailand by 2022? Here’s everything you need to be aware of from March

Thailand is considered by travelers worldwide as one of the top nations to visit for numerous factors. The beaches, bars or The Buddha… However, there’s more to Thailand, the Land of Smiles.

The pandemic is advancing into year 3, several nations located in Southeast Asia are changing their strategies to combat the disease to allow free international travel. In Thailand, numerous restrictions and regulations regarding travel to the country are still in place, but they are gradually decreasing as the nation opens to the outside world.

There are a few disadvantages to arriving on the island of Thailand as an international traveler in the present, such as the possibility of a 10-day quarantine if you have tested positive in the presence of covid. Travelers from any fully vaccinated country can be allowed to travel to Thailand without quarantine. However, those who have not been vaccinated will be required to be quarantined.

Thailand

The first and most important news…

The best part is that when you get to Airport, you will not need to fret about taxis. (No need to worry about whether the meter is operating correctly or if you’re driving around in circles.)

Instead, a specially-arranged van will take you directly to the SHA+ Hotel, and you’ll be able to take the A PCR test. Then, you’ll need to stay overnight at the hotel, where you can chill and play some games on online casino betFIRST, to receive the results and will receive them in the morning. If the hotel you stay at cannot facilitate testing PCR, you’ll be taken to a different testing facility for PCR before arriving at the hotel.

What happens next is contingent on the scheme of entry you’ve submitted your application for. There are three re-entry options for applicants to select from; Sandbox, Test & Go and quarantine for travelers who have not been vaccinated. Learn more information about these programs…

Anyone planning to Thailand must apply to get a Thailand Pass; this goes for both Thai nationals and foreigners.

Travelers must apply for the compulsory Thailand Pass at least 24 hours before departure. However, it is recommended that the Thai government strongly suggests that applicants register and plan their travel at least 7 days in advance of time because the process of approval can take between three and seven days to finish.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises that people beware of frauds that try to charge you to sign up with an entry into the Thailand Pass.

It was announced in late June after the Covid-19 task force investigated complaints from people claiming that they had paid fees for registration to obtain an application for the Thailand Pass.

Test and Go: What’s it, and what’s new?

Travelers who have met the new requirements can enter Thailand from the 7th of March.

Since March, the requirement to take another paid PCR test on the 5th day after your entry into Thailand has been canceled. However, it could be replaced with an antigen test that you must conduct yourself.

Before the change, five days of testing an additional night in one of SHA and accommodations are not popular with travelers.

For the compulsory “Covid” insurance required by law, the cost is set to be reduced between $50,000 and $20,000.

The new rules will take effect on March 1st.

Sandbox

In addition, Phuket vaccinated tourists may now go to three other well-known Thai beach spots, including Krabi, Phang Nga, and Koh Samui – as part of the Sandbox tourism initiative that allows foreign tourists to access Thailand without having to pass through a strict and extended quarantine.

The CCSA has confirmed that from February 1 to the date, the regions comprising Bang Lamung, Pattaya, Si Racha, Si Chang, and Sattahip will be reopened (but just Na Jomtien and Bang Saray sub-districts). Koh Chang is also opened with the newly-created Sandbox options.

Phuket has earned nearly 43 billion baht in revenues in the first year, with visitor numbers constantly growing. Phuket has attracted 86,282 visitors with 70,000 bookings and an average stay of eight days.

What happens if I test positive for the Covid-19?

We don’t want to see you get Covid, But what are the consequences if you do?

If you are positive for Covid-19 using ATK, a rapid antigen test, or ATK, it is imperative to undergo an RT-PCR test to determine if you are suffering from the virus. The Thai government will only accept positive RT-PCR results as proof of the presence of Covid-19.

Any positive person for Covid-19 must be notified under Thailand’s emergency regulations to inform health authorities in Thailand. Anyone who fails to notify authorities of positive results could be punished with a fine of up to 10,000 dollars.

People infected by Covid-19 who do not want to be monitored or treated could face up to 2 years in jail and the possibility of a fine of 40,000 baht. In cases of extreme symptoms, patients will need to undergo hospitalization, and others could be sent to outpatient or community isolation centers in which the government will cover their stay as well as essential treatment.

Being shifted to an isolation center in a country that is not your own could be a nightmare for travelers and ex-pats; however, those who are not suffering or show no symptoms could be granted home isolation, provided you reside in the country.

Pass ‘Go’, pay the land entry fee.

The downside is that the Thailand tourism and Sports Minister have decided that travelers will soon be required to pay the “land entry fee,” 300 baht. The minister hasn’t yet started when the tax will be implemented. However, it is likely to include in the cost of tickets for flights to Thailand. The money will be utilized to fund the emergency services and insurance, in addition to tourism development, but the intelligent ex-pat community is skeptical about that.
