Children are beautiful, unique individuals, and their clothing should reflect this. Paper Wings Clothing is certainly one brand that embodies this. The Australian brand has created a blend of the past, present, and future, enabling kids to be both creative and fashionable at the same time. Their influences include traditional crafts, eclectic fashion, vintage patterns, old-school design, contemporary styles, and new fashion trends. They have everything to create the most beautiful outfits for children.
About the Brand
Michelle Fallon and Jason Gibaud started the paper Wings Clothing. Their inspiration is found in the couple’s own children, Kitty, Esther, and Vette. For both their Little Wings and Paper Wings collections, their focus was on creating things that children actually want to put on, making something that is fun, beautiful, comfortable, and practical. They want to make sure children are allowed to be children again.

Jason and Michelle started their careers in architecture, interior design, film production, and costume design. They have worked on the costume design of Peter Pan, Star Wars, and Moulin Rouge. This inspiration and devotion to quality shine through in the Paper Wings brand, which is casual yet beautiful, looking like true art work. The couple is together every day in their Northern New South Wales studio, and the general public can’t wait to see what they will come up with next.
Each item they design is created to be worn every day, again and again. They are made from durable materials that both parents and kids love. Each item is made individually and hand-finished. The clothes feature cute little details like bright prints, ruffles, bustles, puff sleeves, and drawstrings for girls. The company is also committed to sustainability, using only natural, durable fibers, including 100% organic cotton.
In 2014, Jason and Michelle entered into a partnership with Katie Daisy, a graphic artist, to create a line with shabby chic graphics. Daisy focuses on mixed media, acrylic paint, and watercolor. Her inspiration comes from country pleasures, being a native of Lindenwood, IL. Her works of art scream of passion and free-spiritedness. Through her work on Etsy, she gained fame, and the partnership with Jason and Michelle was perfect from the word go, as they are all committed to joy and freedom.
Next time you are out shopping for your kids, make sure you look at Paper Wings Clothing. They are available online through various stores. The company makes clothing for boys and girls up to the age of 14, and their Little Wings sub-line creates clothes for babies, from newborn onwards. The collections include skirts, leggings, dresses, and t-shirts, to name but a few. All have adorable motifs and simple designs, including horses, cats, fish, and mermaids. They even do swimsuits for those kids who want to look stylish in the pool. The company’s goal is to make sure kids can look stylish every day while continuing to enjoy the freedom of being a child.
