Agra houses the magnificent symbol of love, Taj Mahal and was once the capital of the Mughal Empire, when it was in power. Taj Mahal: This place was named as; “teardrop on the face of eternity” by Rabindranath Tagore and till date has never failed to impress anyone. The design of Taj Mahal reflects the Persian, Indian and Islamic style of architecture and the architect was Ustad Ahmed Lahauri. The construction of it took 21 years and one can see the detailing that is present in every wall.

Jama Masjid: Jama Masjid is Agra’s most largest and reputed mosque. It was commissioned by Shah Jahan and till date is known as one of the most magnificent architecture present in Agra.

Inside the mosque there are mihrabs which have verses of Quran edged to it. It was constructed using marbles and sandstones and has nice courtyards and fountains for everyone to admire. There are beautiful floral pattern with Persian inscriptions in the marble walls of the masjid. The praises are in actual the praises of Shah Jahan and his favorite daughter in scripted in the walls.

Birbal Bhawan: Due to the lack of proper historical background, there is no proper knowledge as to who among Emperor Akbar or Birbal actually built this place. This bhawan is located at Fatehpur Sikri and can be found near the Jodha Bai palace.

This bhawan is known for the intricate design in the architecture of the building. It is also praised and followed for the architecture wherein the bhawan has a doomed architecture which is said to help keep the bhawan cool in the season of summer as well.
