.Eat well
Leaving the family home often means no more homemade meals for you sat waiting on the table every evening. It’s down to you to do the grocery shopping and plan what you will eat each day. When you’re a student, you don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen daily or spend a fortune. Think ahead and plan your meals. One idea is to bulk cook and freeze food in portions to have a longer supply of meals that you need to defrost and heat. You could also pool resources with any housemates, share the cooking duties, or cook and eat together when possible. It really can be a pleasant activity!
However, make sure you have a well-balanced diet. You don’t want to eat microwave meals and chips every week, with no fresh fruit or veg!
Keep fit
As well as eating well, you need to keep yourself in good shape, especially if you like having a few drinks and then heading to the kebab shop. Regular exercise can be good for the body and the mind. So, think about how you can get active. It could be walking, riding your bike to lectures, or joining a gym or fitness class.
