Virto Resource Management web part offers two methods to create a task. The first method is to click anywhere on the right part, and a bar will appear. You can drag the bar to the left or right until it is expanded to the duration you want. The new task window will automatically pop up, and you can fill in all the fields to define the new task in the new task pop up a dialog box.
After defining the task, the newly created task will be listed on the left. The second method is the standard mode, where you click on the New button.
