Announcement Of Samsung
As you know, the Samsung Galaxy Camera is already available to buy in both Europe and the United States, but Samsung isn’t stopping there. The Korean tech giant is looking to expand it’s range of market by providing a Canadian launch scheduled for December 7th.
There shouldn’t be any differences in the Galaxy Camera coming to Canada than other countries. It will be the exact same version on sale in other countries. The device boasts of a 16-megapixel shooter, 21X Samsung Zoom Lens powered on top of a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos chip, which is also running Samsung’s famous TouchWiz interface. On top of all of that, it’s based off of Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system (which has been the usual for Samsung). I wonder if it will get Android 4.2 soon as well?
Price Of Samsung
As for pricing, nothing was mentioned in the announcement today. As Android Central’s Alex Dobie notes, the price should fall around $499, which is the amount charged by AT&T here in the United States. I doubt Canadian retailers would charge much more than that. Who knows though, the world of business is an interesting one.
Are you going to be picking yourself up a Galaxy Camera come this December 7th? Is it worth it to you to shell out $499 for a point-and-shoot camera, or would you rather save your pennies for a DSLR? In my opinion, I’d go with the DSLR, but that’s just because of my fascination with photography.[ Source :- Thedroidguy ]
