NSA key phrases become fodder for automatic haiku

NSA keyword haiku

Now that is some poetic justice right there.

The national security agency’s home spying efforts have been in every single place the information for months. Because it might probable’s listen in to absolutely every person’s electronic missives, the NSA allegedly uses a database of keywords to trigger surveillance. It just so happens that these phrases make for some attention-grabbing poetry.

The NSA Haiku Generator is a web site that spits out automated poems within the basic 5-7-5 syllable layout. It feeds off NSA keywords and pulls from a division of hometown security key phrase record.

I didn’t think I could possibly top my first computerized haiku:

ISS S/Key
Sneakers strain sardine veggie
preaching ninja WINGS

Preaching ninja wings? Awesome! After an excellent laugh, the absurdity of all of it begins to set in. I may be triggering NSA surveillance by using posting on facebook about preaching ninja wings, when all I am referring to are some hot wings with a sneaky pepper kick to them.

There are any other interesting words that pop up in the generator, together with Tie-fighter for all you “celebrity Wars” lovers, and twister for all you lovers of uncomfortable body-distortion games. Any other effort nets me this gem:

Mega consul zone
Plutonium freedom fraud
Chemical sex pork

The poetry generator is plenty a laugh, but creator Grayson Earle has some critical causes at the back of the work. “Even supposing this project is funny (loll), our personal go’s spying on everybody will not be,” he writes. He encourages users to share their haikus to lend a hand saturate the web with key search phrases.

To sum this up, I offer a haiku of my very own:
