LinkedIn brings more data-rich insights
LinkedIn has gone into overdrive to make the service as easy to use and attractive as possible for its vast user base. The service has now tweaked the “Who’s been viewing my profile?” section to make it simpler and visually appealing.
The section is a vital part of LinkedIn’s services and allows you to have a look at people who’ve recently taken a peek at their profiles. The revamped layout now lists down people as well as tells you how often your profile has been viewed. The data will also tell you connections and groups you have in common with the people who’ve viewed your profile recently.
How the free LinkedIn profile page will now look like
While these facilities have been rolled out to users who have free LinkedIn accounts, premium members have a lot more options on this page. If you’re a premium LinkedIn member, you will be granted access to insights from the previous 90 days and will help you learn more about how people on the site are finding you through top search keywords and which industries and geographies these searches come from. You will also be able to filter search results by weeks, making it easier to identify trends.
This new update follows LinkedIn’s attempt at beefing up the professional social networking website’s security by adding the two-factor authentication system via text messages. The move introduced this month requires users to identify themselves by entering numeric codes sent in to them via SMS to put a stop to unauthorised sign-ins.
The new “Who’s been viewing my page?” has already started to roll out to LinkedIn users around the world and the company says it will bring you “deeper, more actionable data-rich insights”.[source:tech2]
