Lately, we’ve heard a lot abut LG’s upcoming flagship Android smartphone, and we assumed it would be called Optimus G2. But it turns out there is also a new Optimus G Pro, which is ready for an official announcement.
Details Of LG Smartphone
Reportedly, the LG Optimus G Pro comes with a 5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, Android Jelly Bean, quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 processor, LTE, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Most of these features are among the ones rumored for the Optimus G2 – so the G Pro and the G2 are probably the same device.
According to the image seen below, the Optimus G Pro will be launched in Japan by NTT DoCoMo sometime this spring (with the model number LG L-04E). The handset seems to measure 139.0 x 70 x 10 mm, weighing 160 grams. It should have two color versions: black and white.
There is no word on exactly when LG will officially announce the Optimus G Pro. It could happen next month at MWC 2013 in Barcelona (February 25 – 28). The new smartphone will compete with the likes of HTC M7, Sony Xperia Z (and ZL), Huawei Ascend D2, and Samsung’s Galaxy S4.
