DIY Cellphone Repair for the Latest iPhones

No matter how much you take care of your most treasured iPhone, there will be a time when you will accidentally drop your phone. While most people would probably opt to bring their iPhones to repair shops, there are some who would try to fix the problem themselves first. We know it goes without saying that opening your handset will most likely void your warranty, but sometimes it may be well worth it especially if you have to pay for the cost of repair anyway.

Here are some cell phone repair tips you may be able to do on your own:

· Soaked iPhone. You do not necessarily have to bring your phone to a repair shop in case it got soaked in water or other liquids (like coffee). The first thing you need to do is to resist the urge to turn on your phone. I know it sounds kind of illogical because obviously you want to know if your phone is still working. But turning it on after being soaked may do a lot of harm to your mobile device. Dry you phone including the entire surface with absorbent cloth and gently shake your device to remove trapped water inside. After this, place your phone on either a plastic bag full of silica packets or container full of rice. Both of these are great in absorbing moisture. Leave your phone there for at least 24 hours to 48 hours, and viola! You will find your iPhone working again.

· iPhone stopped working. Understandably, you might want to immediately bring your iPhone to a repair center if it stops working. More than the phone itself, we want to retrieve the data inside our phone. But don’t worry, just because it stopped working doesn’t mean it will not function anymore. This could only mean your battery has run down or your phone crashed and needs to be rebooted. The first thing you need to do is to charge your phone for at least 15 minutes. If the problem is battery related, it will turn on by itself after it has been charged sufficiently. If this will not solve the problem, try to long-press simultaneously the home key and power key. The Apple logo will most likely to appear within 10 seconds. If this still doesn’t fix your iPhone, you may need to reformat it using a computer with iTunes. We do not recommend this as this process can delete all your applications and files. But if it comes to this, it is better to reformat your phone than not use it at all.

In these modern times, it is really hard to be without our phones even for a day. And we understand why people get very antsy if their phone malfunctions. Consider trying the tips we’ve discussed here before sending your device to a cell phone repair center. Not only will it save you money, it will save you time as well.
