The alpha trial for Battlefield 4 has kicked off and will go on till July 1, according to a screenshot posted by MP1st. The hardware requirements for the Alpha Trial of the game have also been revealed. As of yet, the game seems to be pretty unoptimised, which is especially evident from the fact that it doesn’t support 32-bit operating systems or even Windows 8 yet.

The system requirements for running the Alpha Trial are:

  • OS: Vista SP2, Win7 (Win8 not supported)
  • 64-bit (32 bit not supported)
  • Dx 10 or Dx 11 GPU with 1+GB of RAM, Dx 11 highly recommended
  • 25GB HDD free space
  • Latest Origin version

Back in April, promotional art for Battlefield 4 had been leaked which revealed that the game mark the return of the much-beloved Commander Mode. It has also revealed that the multiplayer component of the game will have three playable factions. We also found out that pre-ordering the game will give you a discount of $10 on the first expansion that will undoubtedly be released shortly after the game’s launch.

Battlefield 4 was announced as one of the launch titles for both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One at E3. It will also be making it to the PC.
