Portable projector: BenQ has announced the launch of its palm-sized second-generation ‘Joybee GP2 projector’ in India that lets users have a big screen experience on the move.
Priced at Rs 39,167, the projector uses an LED light source to last for the life of the projector. Thus, it is claimed to have approx. 30,000 hours of lamp life.
The compact projector is touted to project up to 160-inch image size. It has a 1.13 short throw ratio that lets you project a 44-inch picture from a distance of 1 metre
The projector comes with an iPhone/iPod-compatible dock. It has a touch senstive control panel and an intuitively designed user interface.
The device offers multimedia connectivity, and can be connected to other devices using HDMI cable. The projector also includes a SD card slot and a USB reader.
This mini projector comes packed with two built-in 2W speakers and an internal memory of 2GB.
It is boast of having a high contrast ratio of 2400:1 and 200 ANSI lumen brigtness and 720p HD-ready short-throw projection.
Users can also run the projector using the detachable battery (optional), which is said to be last for 3 hours when running at 100 ANSI lumen brightness. The battery costs around Rs 5,000.
As far as looks are concerned, the projector is portable and has quite sophisticated looks. At 565g, the projector is light in weight.
