The online and information page of RPSC was hacked on Saturday morning. K K Pathak, the secretary of RPSC disclosed that the disturbing links have been removed. Cyber experts who were called in to investigate reveal that the main site of the Commission was hacked and in the news section two links of “Pakistan Zindabad” were added. The official website of online application was hacked too. Reportedly, hackers had also written that it was high time Indian authorities admire the fact that Pakistan is the best.

Police were intimated about the hack as soon as RPSC authorities took notice of it. The authorities immediately changed all the passwords of the website and both main pages of the website were put on surveillance. Another executive reportedly said that the only thing that could give RPSC some relief is if the main server on the data base is intact and not hacked. The matter has also been reported to information technology department of the Central government and the commission is preparing to register a case under IT Act.

There has been a significant rise in the number of Indian websites being hacked in the last couple of years. Moreover, government websites are seemingly the biggest targets of such cyber crimes. About 294 government websites were hacked between January and October last year.
