Online store starts pre-booking for BlackBerry Q10

BlackBerry Q10

BlackBerry’s upcoming QWERTY smartphone, the Q10, is now available for pre-booking on SnapDeal. The website, though, doesn’t reveal any new information, such as the actual price of the handset. To pre-book the device, you have to pay Rs 1,000 in advance, and then pay the rest when the smartphone is launched. The closest thing we have to a launch date at the moment is a vague mention of it being some time during the fourth week of May.

The closest we have had to a price so far have been listings on some online stores with a price of Rs 55,540. That makes the Q10 even dearer to purchase than the already expensive full touchscreen BlackBerry Z10.

The Blackberry Q10 is now up for pre-booking

Of course, we can imagine many BlackBerry fans itching to get their hands on the hardware QWERTY-toting Q10. The keyboard is what gave BlackBerry its identity and has long been considered synonymous with the company. Unveiled back in January, the Q10 will also run BB10 OS like the Z10.

The BlackBerry Q10 may look meagrely-endowed in comparison to the Z10, but its internals are equally top-of-the-line. The 3.1-inch touchscreen display has a 720 x 720 resolution, giving it a rather high 328 ppi pixel density. The Q10 listed for sale is powered by a 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 dual-core processor and has a PowerVR SGX544 GPU.

On the back is an 8 megapixel camera capable of shooting 1080p videos, while the front-facing 2 megapixel camera should be more than enough for Skyping and self-portraits. The camera gets everything the Z10 had, including Time Shift and video stabilisation. Internal storage is capped off at 16GB, but potential buyers can further enhance the memory up to 64GB. The Q10 has a 2100 mAh Li-ion battery, which should be good enough for a whole day’s usage considering the small display.

You won’t be short of options to connect the Q10 to your PC or television thanks to the microUSB and miniHDMI port. On the connectivity front, there’s Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band support, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP support and NFC support as well.

  1. If he’s, it is a good example since it just proves dyslexic people aren’t always not wise (not too I figured these were), Freddie visited Oxford College and everything. It is a great example to dyslexic people and those that have stupid prejudiced opinions towards dyslexic people. I am not dyslexic nor possess a stupid predudiced opinion of dylslexic people incidentally, but for those who are it’s a great example, not agree?
