Mozilla to launch Firefox OS at MWC?

Firefox OS

Firefox OS at MWC

Well, look what just landed in my in-box a few minutes ago: a save-the-date from Mozilla, best known for its Firefox browser, for a press conference at Mobile World Congress later this month.

Mozilla has been hard at work on Firefox OS, an open-source operating system alternative for developers to really sink their teeth into.

We got our latest hands-on with the developing OS last month at CES, but to me, a press conference worthy of a save-the-date means one thing: that Mozilla is ready to show off a major new development.

CNET reached out to Mozilla and will update this post with any comments.

In the meantime, check out the latest on Firefox OS and the budding open-source OS movement for mobile phones.

  1. Let me keep Opera as my default, but you will find certain sites (for example Microsoft Partner) that just operate on IE. Basically might make a shortcut on my small desktop for each one of the sites such as this and also have it use IE after i click rather than Opera, that might be perfect – or maybe I possibly could allow it to be request which browser I would like. Thanks.

  2. Hi.

I am presently using Ie, but I wish to change to opera.

But When I change to opera, am i going to still have the ability to have Ie too?

    Thanks everybody!

  3. I simply downloaded Mozilla opera, how do you allow it to be so my opening page is bebo? I understand its likely i simply cannot remember how. I am talking about to ensure that whenever you open opera it is not google its bebo, if yous get what i’m saying?
